Teramo, Italy residents hardcore punk quintet MUD has recently announced the title for their brand new album and follow-up to 2011's "Violence Against Violence" (which we reviewed in our zine).
No release date has been set yet but consider that it will be a DIY production/distribution thing. The band posted the following words about "From The Bottom" on their fb...
And finally here we are with some foretaste! The title of our new album is "FROM THE BOTTOM" (intentional tribute to Lou X). The title says it all , what we are and what is the message we want to transmit.... Everything starts from the bottom and then grows, expands and bursts! Our mentality is totally DIY and so is all that is behind the creation of this work! Everything really " from the bottom", in other words! "From the bottom", as well as the true mentality hc , always linked to underground... Lyrics: they goes through introspective stuff , personal situations, social issues and "business" of the hardcore scene and of this crew from Abruzzo... Speaking about music, there is not only the classic HC, and on this record there will be different influences, all stuff that comes from 90s anyway... a bit of grind-core, crust, thrash, death metal, rap, something vaguely sludge and, obviously, as usual, the whole New York HC' school and the usual influences of Hatebreed, Terror, Strife, Biohazard.... In conclusion all the shit with which we are always dealing and everything faster and faster! This is the "Mud Style" 2014. Stay tuned!
