LAY IT ON THE LINE interview

by marcs77

Lots of bands are dished out to you everyday and the net is unbelievably jam packed of new names, new outputs but sometime you happen to stumble upon something which catches your interest right off the bat, and that's how things went with me getting introduced to South London native hardcore band LAY IT ON LINE.
This four-piece, started out in the recent years, plays his blend of hardcore with some clear influences drawn off early days and more punker Iron Maiden, lays down lyrics which have kind of a classic romantic British literature feel to them and uses some Victorian crepuscular imagery that suits the whole (I'm talking about the cover artworks).
Well, I hope you too like me will be finding LAY IT ON THE LINE interesting and cut out some of your time to go on and read this interview Mike (vocals) replied and check out their stuff.

TEAR THEM DOWN Their Faults, Our Problems (CD)

by marcs77

Shit! A really cool and poignant title for this debut on the lengthy distance by Göteborg, Sweden's newest punk sons TEAR THEM DOWN.
The corrupted leaders of countries and those in power make mistakes that have catastrophic impacts on the lives of many but in the end it's never their problem.
The young foursome started out in 2010 and already released an EP entitled “This Is A
Mutiny” in 2011 (they sent it to us for review but we missed to do our duty, sorry!) and a single song titled “Nothing” in 2012.
Tear Them Down play punk rock with some street attitude touchings, a good deal of melody and soaring singalong inducting vocals. There one single mellow number “Oh, The Irony” that gives you time to breathe before the next installment of fury.
Totally in line with the album title the lyrics deal with sociopolitical themes and the uncompromised love for punk music.

FACE THE FACT, Roma hardcore

A repost off a fb entry...

TO KILL definitively kissed everybody adios but today I found myself flipping through some oldies and I stambled upon Roma's FACE THE FACT a band which members moved on to form TO KILL after FTF disbanding.
Started out in 1999 FTF released 3 EPs, the latest titled "Romeo And Juliet Are Not Dead", out in 2003.
They played their farewell show in their hometown at Traffic on 9th June 2007.
Did any of you remember of these guys?

Watch now the video for the track "The Safe Place". This song appeared as title track of second EP and was featured in "Romeo..." EP.
Thanks to our bro Marco at Toxic Tape records who keeps the clip running on Truesidemusic youtube channel
