“The will to kill”, new album by SPLEEN FLIPPER. Italian HC going fast, going East.

On stage for 13 years, Spleen Flipper celebrate the band’s “step into teenage years” with a new, dense, fearsome and definitely wise full length: “The Will To Kill”. 9 fast-burning tracks which carve new SF’ sound: TWTK is the latest step of an evolution from the early punk-HC, straight (and damned fast!) towards the recent offending and relentless “blastcore”, a lethal mix of hardcore, death, black and grindcore…well, the guys lack for nothing!
Spleen Flipper are still spreading their sound far and wide, with a bunch of gigs around Italy and an upcoming tour in...well, I don’t wanna add more about that now! We hope that our chat with Topper, SF's lead voice and co-founder, will feed your least until the next news, of course!

WE RIDE is touring America this September and Europe later this Fall

After 5 years LESS THAN JAKE has a new album out via Fat Wreck in November 2013

Fat Wreck Chords announces that the release of new LESS THAN JAKE's album is scheduled. Fot those who were a bit too young to be around in the 90's Less Than Jake is one of those outfits that made it to survive among the countless names then packing the booming ska-punk-core scene of that decade. Here the press release from FWC...

Florida's Less Than Jake are officially back on Fat! Following the 2012 reissue of the Fat classic Borders & Boundaries and the subsequent EP collection Greetings & Salutations, it only made sense to bring LTJ back into the Fat folds for real. On November 12th, we'll release their brand new full length entitled See the Light.

GAB DE LA VEGA European tour in September

As I expressed many times I'm not much of fan of the stripped down acoustic punk but our friend Gab (The
Smashrooms) gave this art form a try and naming himself GAB DE LA VEGA he has been writing, recording and taking around some tunes which could not have found much room in the pissed off loud hardcore punk boundaries of The Smashrooms.
This year he followed up to 2012's "Death On The Shelf" (feat. one original track plus a cover of 1000 More Fools by Bad Religion) with a lenghty effort, out on vynil, featuring 10 brand new tracks and entitled "Songs Of Existence".
He's now touring on this record in September.

DEATH RAY VISION follow-up to 2011's EP. "We Ain't Leavin' Till You're Bleedin'" is out September 10th!

For those not in the know (this may mean you missed the interview with Killswitch Engage's Mike D. or you
were not focused enough on your read either) DEATH RAY VISION is a luxury side project featuring in its line up the likes of Brian from Shadow Falls (vocals) and Mike D. (on bass). The metallic hardcore ensamble roots deeply in the 90's Boston metalcore scene and  it comes as kinda continuation to where Overcast (feat. Brian, Mike and Pet Cortese) and Cannae (feat. Colin Conway) left off.
In 2011 they released an EP entitled "Get Lost Or Get Dead", which has been re-released this year after the signing last year with Josh Grabelle (of Trustkill fame) new imprint Bullet Tooth, and on September the 10th is schedule for release the new 12-track debut full-length "We Ain't Leavin' Till You're Bleedin'".

FOR THE GLORY already shared two tracks off the forthcoming new album

Just one year since the release of the 7" split with World Eater Lisbon's hardcore mob FOR THE GLORY (around since 2003) are gonna release a new full-length entitled "Lisbon Blues" on Sept. the 14th (don't worry they didn't change their style). It's indeed not that hard a guess to think that the blues referred to in the title is the mood portrayed by the weathered half blurred city sight and their feelings toward their hometown that they briefly express through the following fb post.

DEAD MARKET the new unreleased song off disbanded JET MARKET

We're dead sure many of you didn't miss out the bad news about JET MARKET guys parting ways last year (June 2012) and totally feel certian that you've been actually missing this band from Roma, its shows and their familiar name featured on many flyers pestering the net and some old-fashioned walls.
Well, something related to the melodicore foursome is coming our way. Alex (drums, vocals and kinda "mastermind" behind the band) just announced that besides his job at Hellsmell studios and playing in Bedtime For Charlie (Roma's melodic punk HC) he spared enough time to write and record new songs that he's gonna made them available shortly on JM fb page for those interested.
We can't really wait to hear the new tunes he's been working on.
Read on the post the popped out a few days ago on JET MARKET official fb page.

DARKEST HOUR recording their much anticipated new album through the end of September

Meanwhile things moved up at a hectic pace for the fivesome, including the fresh signing with Sumerian records as far as US/Canada are concerned (supposedly the record will be out through Century Media in Europe) and we wanna share with you the latest right off the DH camp, read on...

Some video memories off this year FLUFF FEST

Due to other commitments this year too we didn't make it to attend the annual edition of FLUFF Fest held July 26th
to 28th at Rokycany Airfield in Czech Republic.
Building up their fame each year (the fisrt edition dates year 2000) Fluff is now deservedly become one of the most important hardcore festivals in Europe.
Kids who attended the festival don't missed on the chance to digitally capture some memories of what went on up and down the stages and share their clips on youtube.
We posted some of these we think they are worth seeing being on the wait that more videos will be up in the near future.

LIONS joins Take It Back records to release their debut

Switzerland's LIONS joined the Take It Back records family for the release of their very first material the
three-some recorded after starting out last year.
Read on a post Take I Back shared to let evertbody know about this new band featuring some guys who have had their fair share of experiences under their belts and the among the hardcore scene.

We are super excited to announce that LIONS joined the TAKE IT BACK family!

LIONS is a classic straight edge hardcore band from Switzerland with members that have been part of the Swiss scene for many years and even decades.

RISK IT! release new 7" EP on Farewell records

If my mind doesn't play some tricks on me Germany's straightedge RISK IT! were gonna be dead and gone
at some point a few years ago. I attended a show part of what was advertised as being they farewell Euro tour. But after that I kept hearing of these guys still around.
Indeed, coming to the very recent days, I learn they have recently released a new 7" entitled "The Only Thing", on Farewell records, which follows-up to last year full-length effort "Who's Fooling Who".

The guys posted 2 tracks out of the five which make up the 7" EP on bandcamp.

So RISK IT! isn't gone but it appears to be alive and kicking. Stream here the record's title track and the song "Disappear"

NIGHT BIRDS just released the follow-up to 2011's debut LP

At long last, New Jersey's NIGHT BIRDS deliver the follow up to their 2011 debut LP, "The Other Side of
Darkness." "Born to Die in Suburbia" delivers fourteen new tracks - refashioning the dark overtones, surf inflections, and melodic sensibilities of their signature style without dramatically altering their core sound. The result being not only their most diverse and accompli shed collection of songs to date, but an output that is more distinctly NIGHT BIRDS than ever.
Rife with impassioned social commentary, tales of dysfunction and despair, and lamentations of a culture in rapid decline, "Born To Die In Suburbia" is an instant punk rock classic for this modern world on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
