Metallic HM2-buzzsaw driven hardcore punk sounding a lot like a modern take on early 90's Scandinavian deathmetal forged at famed Sunlight studios.

Denmark's fivesome NORÐ, delivers the official lyrics video for the single "Fear Reigns" taken off the upcoming new album "Machine Blood" scheduled to be out in March 2022 through Inverse records.
This lenthy track, it clocks in over 5+ min, is all about modern heavy rock metal with thrashy groovy riffs, epic rockish vocals alternated to brutal hardcore screams and cleans, and a proggy feel in the inrterludes and some arrangements that may remind of Dream Theater although the hiper-tech-wizardy of famed American prog metallers is not matched (and here there's really nothing strange or wrong considering when it comes to Nord we're not talking about a progressive metal band or "classic" prog metal genre tout court).

Among punk hardcore sub-genres, Umeå can boast one of the first straight edge hardcore bands, together with Abhinanda, their name? STEP FORWARD -one of their band members formed Refused after the band called it a day.
