NO BRAIN NO SHAME tour, Malemute Kid, Dear Dust, Low Dérive and Onoda

by marcs77

I got to attend the third stop of the tour No Brain No Shame at Honky Tonky in Seregno, some kilometers away from Milano.
The bands playing tonight hail from different areas of Italy like Torino, Bologna, Roma and Milan with the band called ONODA actually hailing from no-city banding together guys from Bologna, Cesena and Palermo. The four bands are taking around their commune effort in the form of a 4-way split 12” vinyl entitled “No Brain, No Shame” and freshly released on No Reason records and Lonely Raven records.
As the friend Turi (Onoda's drummer) said, it's a pity the house is not full like it happened the night before in Torino; he goes “there are really lotta gigs going tonight in Milano”. But it actually seems always like the case in the city lotta events are being held on weekend nights (and there's actually not "that" reference place that draws the punk hardcore kids).
ONODA opens up around 11.00 pm
and despite the band being on an actual stage the singer makes clear that they are a hardcore punk band just jumping onto the floor and running in the pit as far off as the wire's mick allowed him to.

EMERY Announces new album "You Were Never Alone"out on Rude records on may 19th

If there is one thing you can say about South Carolina’s Emery, it’s that they've never come close to Break It Down.
fitting into the proverbial box. You Were Never Alone, the band’s sixth full-length record will be dropping May 19th on Rude Records in Europe. Additionally, in an untraditional approach to the rapidly changing music industry, the band chose to make fans experience each track meticulously discussed week by week on the brand new podcast

Each of the first 12 episodes will feature a song from the album played in its entirety along with clips and tracks pulled out from the recording session and stories and explanations to accompany as well as insights into the lyrics and themes explored. It will be a behind the curtain look at what goes into making Emery’s music. Adds Matt Carter:

STEEL TREES Premiere 'Radiation Man' video with Gigwise

For most ambitious guitar bands starting out on the road, it would be hard to find a more iron-clad
seal of approval than a personal invitation from the legendary J Mascis to support Dinosaur Jr.

Well, that's exactly what happened to riff-laden South Yorkshire ex-pit village trio STEEL TREES who reveal their new video for 'Radiation Man' today after its premiere with Gigwise recently:

IRON REAGAN announces European tour dates

Richmond, Virginia's IRON REAGAN are true road warriors. After just wrapping up an extensive North American run (with Napalm Death, Voivod and Exhumed), the band has a quick break before heading over for their first-ever Australian tour, after which they will go back to the States for more US shows and then head over to Europe for a tour here.

Bassist Land Phil on touring Europe: "I am very excited to bring IRON REAGAN to all you crazy head bangers across the ocean. We have been busy as hell these past two years touring the US and Canada and have yet to get the opportunity to go overseas and play in front of some of the greatest audiences in the world. Prepare for some raging, out of control, cross-over insanity!"

Iron Reagan released their sophomore full-length The Tyranny of Will via Relapse Records last year along with the viral video directed by Whitey McConnaughy (Red Fang, ZZ Top) for the song "Miserable Failure".

QUESTIONS to embark on a European and Russian tour this Summer

São Paulo hardcore band QUESTIONS, who are around since 2000, recently announced they will embark on a European/Russian tour this Summer to celebrante 15 years as band.
The tour is gonna kick off on July the 11th at Hardcore Help Foundation fest and wrap up with an appearance of the foursome at Ieper fest on August 14th.
Over this 15 years' journey, the band kept pushing the boundaries of underground music in Brazil and the world, recording 5 CDs, doing countless videos, including a documentary about the São Paulo Hardcore Scene and playing shows all over their country and made four big tours in Europe, where they played more than 70 gigs in 20 countries including Russia, Greece, Germany, Poland, Turkey to name but  a few.

The word says the guys will have a new CD coming out this summer, that follows up to 2013's EP "Out Of Society", but we couldn't get any confirmation on this.

EUROPEAN/RUSSIAN SUMMER TOUR DATES:

SVETLANAS and THE DWARVES on European tour

The female-fronted trash punk band Svetlanas from Russia will be supporting legendary punk band The Dwarves from San Francisco on their European tour in April.

LAY IT ON THE LINE "A Prelude to the Process" out on Aaahh! Real records

Hardcore band LAY IT ON THE LINE (formed in 2012 in the more depressing parts of South London, England) are back with a new lineup, following the band splitting in two during the planned recording of their debut album.
Vocalist Mike and drummer Matt carried on - getting Duncan (ex-Hang The Bastard) in on bass and Hannah (ex The Ramonas) on guitar, they have announced both a new EP and a new album to follow that.
'A Prelude To The Process' is the band’s first material since 2013 – and the first with the new lineup and a heavier sound. The five track glimpse into the band's fascination with the shady cult religion The Process Church of The Final Judgment is a prelude to the debut album, which is currently being recorded in the same place as the EP – The Ranch Production House.

Producer Neil Kennedy (More Than Life, Landscapes, Departures) is at the helm and he has helped the band create the kind of sound that they have promised that they would since their inception.
All the songs from the EP and the album are based on the teachings of The Process (the inspiration used by Integrity, Rot In Hell and others before them).

Public links to this stream (for ‘Laid Bare’) are fine ahead of the release of the EP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhL6R6Qe90E&feature=youtu.be
