Wish you all a Merry Christmas with this unexpected festive tribute to Slayer.
Seasons Greetings in the Abyss!
A relic from the past, "The Transformation" by ROTSCHRECK a Scottish, Dundee based, death metal, with a hardcore and groovy punch, that had their stint among the UK's extreme metal scene between the years 1996-2002.
Their sound shows all its influences still the record sounds fresh, and I love the doomy feel and brutal growls reminescent of famed Peaceville's death-doom bands era.
Enjoy!France's metallic hardcore BEYOND THE STYX are gonna release a new album, titled "Sentence", in February 2022.
Check out the audio clip for the song "New World Disorder" a rather ignorant super heavy beatdown feast.
Enjoy!
Italia's MESSA dreamy heavy rock doomers
Watch the video for the title track waiting to join the lengthy dark-shaded mind altering pilgrimage their opus is gonna promise.
Enjoy!
OVERHATE Venezuela's power brutal thrashy modern metal!
SINAYA hails from Brazil and state to be the first all-female Deathcore band in the world over.
Be the statement fully true or not, the gals kick asses and I like the screams and barking from Mylena Monaco, which are sick from the opening line when she sings "Look at life from the other side"; the feature by CJ hands the song a bit more of variety (like for 2-frontman bands) and brutality vocal-wise.
Enjoy!Los Angeles' SALEM'S BEND picked up this 1969's heavy psych tune, "No Blood In Bone" by Poppy Family, to cover for the Halloween season -the single is out through Ripple Music.
Enjoy this heavy vintage sounding creepy tune!
A good mix of many of the sounds which would pretty well fit under the ever evolving and including label "post".
"Less Is Mort" is the new record from MAPS AND FOILS, foursome based in Paris, France -ah... the guys sing in French!
Enjoy!
The band THOUGHCRIMES feat. Dillinger Escape Plan's drummer Billy Rymer, a dude really not new to these abrasive sounds.
The track is taken off the six-track EP "Tap Night" out through Pure Noise records.
Enjoy!
You're likely to know the genre and the Entombed, Dismember, Grave... sound, here, although it's nothing very ground-breaking, you'll find some old-school stuff for you then.
Enjoy!
"It Taketh" 3-track demo from Scottish TYRANNUS
The band play a blend of rancid horrorific antifa psychedelic black-ened metal that picks influences from thrash metal, Voivod and Italy's The Secret.
Cover art by Amelia Woroszyl.
Enjoy this demo waiting for the lenthy record to come out!
This band THE STONE EYE are easily labeled grunge alt rock, and you can defintitely hear influences from the likes of Alice In Chains (vocal-wise and this hooked me up) but not the typical early Sub Pop stuff or other grungy sounds.
There's some stoner shit with the main riff reminding of Queens Of The Stone Age though there's way more going with this band from Philadephia, PA.
Listen to them and enjoy!
This France's grindcore combo named MASSIVE CHARGE is around since 2004.
Never heard of these guys till recently but whether you like the genre they don't suck and the tune "Back To The Charge" off the upcoming "For Those We Hate", out this November, doesn't suck too. Do you really need I write more shit for you to check'em out? -well in video the singer is wearing a t-shirt from the friends in Harm Done.
Enjoy!
Stuff from a casette only release dated 1992.
Enjoy punk rock!
Some melodeath Swedish style shit from this France, Lion based band named DESTINITY.
I hear something in the vein of DT's "Projector" but hey we are in the melodic death realm here!
Enjoy and check out their upcoming record out Oct. the 15th 2021 on Season Of Mist.
Bury your ears and enjoy!

Roma hardcore's GRAND THEFT AGE, around between 2004 and 2016, released their sophomore record "We Come From Your Hell" in 2012 through Scarred For Life records.
"Infame Società " with a bastard dirty Motorhead feel to it was released as single before to appear in the record.
Listen to and enjoy... Questa è Roma HC mica...
Sounds a wee bit NIRVANA? These are OUT OF LOVE, UK's punkers from London with their "Sniffin' Glue", a single out on now Venn records.
Watch the video!
San Jose, California primal thrash metal trio VARNOK covered "Anticop" by Sepultura.

Listen to DEVOID OF THOUGHT, brutal death from Italy -their label Everlasting Spew Records uses the term cosmic to give hints on their sound and mentions Voivod among the influences... the artwork has definitely something cosmic and with some HP Lovercraft's disturbing outerworlds scenaries feel to it.
The Italian Perugia based band is around since 2007 and kick some serious hardcore aficionados ass.

What have been the main influences for virtuoso melodic punk hardcore and punk rock bass players? Several would be the obvious, 99% accurate, answer, right? But let's think about some; we hear players being influenced by those pioneering the punk hardcore genre (guys like Dead Kennedys' Klaus Flouride, Descendents' Tony Lombardo, RKL's Joe Raposo, The Clash's Paul Simonon, The Who's John Entwistle) some taking hints from more rock'n'roll blues and reggae oldies (Rancid / Operation Ivy's Matt Freeman) and an impressive bunch influenced by Steve Harris and melodic riffing of mighty Iron Maiden. And the Iron Maiden's list could go on and on, especially among the bass shredders in melodic skate punk, but to name a few I'd think of Face to Face / No Use For A Name's Matt
Anthrax's Charlie Benante talks about "Gung Ho", the last track of New York thrashers sophomore record "Spreading The Disease", dated 1985, and his super fast pioneering doublebass diy drumming technique on this track.
You can also watch the shoter clip where ANTHRAX play the song https://youtu.be/b2_vrtmuwzs
Enjoy!😀
OVERCAST, forefathers, definitely pioneers, of US metal core, this way earlier the term was even recognized, reunited for a second time over 2014-15 year span to play some shows before Mike D'Antonio (Killswitch Engage), Brian Fair (Shadow Fall) and Peter Cortese started up the side-project Death Ray Vision (with three records out on Bullet Tooth records), and switched Overcast to perhaps definite hiatus mode.
Among their live videos up on YouTube (some capturing their '96/'98 period when the band was killing it) I've recently watched the show they performed at This Is Hardcore 2014 in Philly.
The video, the sound and band kick ass through the 18+ min show.
Watch it!
"Dopo Un Lungo Silenzio" (it took them 5 years to follow-up to their first s/t release) is the latest 6-track record from Jesi, Italia, VOID 00, a combo devoted to the most obscure heavy doomy droony sounds that will take you deep down to and lost into the most profound abysses of earth and the universe all.
