Here a short press release from B9 records about the THE ALLIGATORS debut through Peabody, MA based label.
I actually (this is Stephanie btw) got to sit down with Roger and Rich this past weekend and we shot the shit about The Alligators, hardcore, pizza and more. It was a super time, and we decided to post one more song off of the album, "There's Two Sides", that you can find streaming now here.
The Alligators’ debut full-length for Bridge Nine Records collects two previously released EPs plus rare tracks and a handful of brand new songs. The band features four of some of hardcore’s most important names from both coasts - Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), Rich Labbate (Insted), Steve Larson (Insted) and Barret Burt (Insted), and their sound is like something that might’ve been filed in between Miret’s primary band, Agnostic Front’s, landmark albums United Blood and Victim In Pain. The Alligators wear their influences on their sleeve - tipping their hat to bands like SSD, Antidote, Negative Approach, Poison Idea, Scream and more.
"Imagine you are standing in line at CB’s, freezing your ass off, waiting to get into the Roger Miret benefit on January 2, 1989. The guy in front of you turns and says, “Hey, did you hear Roger is singing for Insted? And they’re writing old NYHC type stuff.” - In Effect HC.
