The guys in WHALES' ISLAND took a song, the title track, off their latest 2-track vinyl EP entitled "Crossroads" and shot a homemade, totally DIY, video clip.This cool video has been shot live during the Island's Revenge Fest 2 @ Rocket Bar they played in their hometown, Palermo, Italy and also includes some footage straight off last year European tour.

Yes, sadly it sounds so. Actually the guys recently posted some words that announce they came up with the hard decision of taking a long long break and keep this project on an indefinite hiatus.

Good Morning Guys, How are you? We hope so fine ...well, yesterday we had our practice time together and was cool as usual...
Guys, after a long period talking of all The problems and costs especially of this 2013, a decision is made.. At first, we ve no more money to do shows outside Italy so we ve to cancell our fluff fest week at The end of July and we are so sorry about it... By The way, whales Island are going to have a break, a long long break.. We don t Wanna Say that our time is over..But as Go It Alone said: <<Nothing gold can stay>> so we don t know when and if will be possibile to start again with tour, records and much more.
Basically we just want to keep our friendship, without troubles, 3 years together, 1 full lenght cd, 2 vinyl, 5 european tour, 2 video, a lot of big shows in Italy.. That's fucking amazing...
We want to thanks all The people Who supported us in these years, our records Label Indelirium Records and Emiliano, Acme Studio, Noreason records and Stefano, Nopanicrecords and Ronny, Apostolisxxx and Wak records, all The italian bands known, our booking agency Mighty Vision Entertinment, our brother Sandro Pazzo Shows, our video Maker Claudio Stanghellini.. Every single person known during our european tour..
So, come at The show next week at The rocket bar in Palermo cause we want to have fun as if it will be our last..But we want to keep our music and hope to be here again sometimes in The future.. At The moment we can Only Say these words: bye love you, breis breis. W.I CREW

Buon giorno gente, come si va? Speriamo tutto bene..
Ok, ieri finalmente dopo mesi siamo riusciti a provare tutti e 5 insieme ed è stato come sempre pazzesco.. Inoltre ci siamo concessi delle ore per discutere su ciò di cui discutiamo da un buon periodo riguardo a ciò che abbiamo passato ed ai costi economici soprattutto di questo ultimo 2013, così una decisione e stata presa!
I whales Island si avviano a prendere una bella e lunga pausa e non vogliamo dire nemmeno purtroppo.. È una decisione presa in tranquillità e soprattutto tenendo stretta la nostra forte amicizia lontani da liti e problematiche aggiuntive.. Non vogliamo dire che la band e sciolta o che il nostro tempo sia finito ma sarà una lunga pausa ... Non sappiamo se e quando poter riprendere i ritmi con tour, registrazioni e quant'altro..
Dobbiamo purtroppo e sopratutto x mancanza reale di soldi cancellare le nostre date di luglio con la settimana del fluff festival, e vogliamo quindi ringraziare tutte le persone che fino ad oggi ci hanno supportato, le nostre etichette discografiche a partire da indelirium records ed emiliano, acme studio, noreason records e Stefano, APOSTOLISXXX e Wak records, nopanicrecords e Ronny, la nostra agenzia di booking mighty Vision Entertinment, il nostro fratello ne pazzo shows lontano ad Hannover ma vicino nel cuore sempre, tutte le band con cui abbiamo condiviso momenti e palchi, e tutta la gente conosciuta durante i tour europei.... Come dissero una volta i go it alone: << nothing gold can stay>> .. Ma 3 anni, 5 tour europei, 1 disco, 2 vinili, 2 video beh.. È stato tutto pazzesco per noi e senza di voi tutti non ci saremmo riusciti...
La prossima settimana sarà lo show al rocket bar a farci chiudere forse un ciclo ma noi nn andremo a nanna.. Venite a trovarci come fosse l'ultimo dei nostri concerti xke così vogliamo divertirci, come fosse l'ultima volta ... Trattenendo la nostra forte amicizia e portandoci dietro i migliori ed i più bei ricordi adesso possiamo solo dirvi: ciao, GRAZIE VERAMENTE A TUTTI VOI, BREIS BREIS! W. I. Crew
