I'm bit of a partisan here being one of the band's guitarists, Michela (aka Michella Hall), one of our longtime writers. This being said I am happy to stream on our 'zine and introduce to you all MACHETE FUCK from Berlin, Germany.The foursome features among its ranks ex-members of Discharge, Vagrants, Them Martyrs and Disgust and just released an 11-track demo entitled "Atavic Scars".
They play a blend of noxious extremely deafeaning d-beat HC metal punk with crust influences and doomy heavy slowed-down parts. So take bands like Discharge, Anticimex, Doom, Disrupt, Nausea, Hellbastard, Napalm Death, Converge, Nailbomb, Fudgetunnel and mix everything with Black Sabbath and Motörhead just to have a wee idea about what their music sounds like -if you're not accostumed to the genre yet. Anyway, definitely worth listening to them and watching out for their next moves.
