THERAPY? launch inaugural single "Callow" following signing to Marshall records

Following on from the announcement that the Northern Irish alternative rock trio have signed with label Marshall Records, THERAPY? have just launched the inaugural single ‘Callow’ taken from their 15th opus, which will be released in the autumn. Melody, riffs, rhythm and intensity, the new works, inspired by what the band call a ‘new age of anxiety’, are guaranteed to propel the hard working trio back to the forefront of heavy music with the support of their new team.

You can listen to "Callow" here and on YouTube

Andy Cairns (frontman/guitarist) says this about the inaugural track: "After the death of Lil Peep and the media spotlight on Xanax addiction the band thought back to an old Stephen Fry quote relating to his demon-battling days of manic depression and his dislike of anti depressants and their numbing effect. “ if you take away my demons, you’ll take my angels too”. Does this anxious new age require self administered oblivion? Have we reached a point where we need to zone out from the constant, warring and divisive noise around us? The sweetest of melodies over a panic stricken tempo and a refusal to kowtow.
This is Therapy? in 2018”

A music video to provide visual representation of the single’s narrative will follow in due course, along with the official album details. The band will perform at the likes of Bearded Theory, Ramblin Man and Amplified Festival, with full live dates listed below.

Therapy? hit the stage in 1991 and have been an unstoppable force in alternative rock music ever since. The band will release their 15th full length opus of no nonsense alternative hard rock to the world in 2018 via Marshall Records. They join Press to Meco, King Creature, Rews and more as part of the Marshall roster.

Chris Sheldon, the man responsible for the production work on their successful Troublegum and Semi Detached albums had semi retired from recording to concentrate on mixing until Therapy? came knocking on his door. Troublegum (1994) was the album that transformed the Northern Irish misfits into the nation’s most unlikely pop stars, spawning no fewer than five Top 40 singles (‘Screamager’, 'Turn', 'Nowhere', Die Laughing' and ‘Trigger Inside') and clocking up a cool million sales worldwide, scoring a Mercury Music Prize nomination in the process. Therapy? have released many albums since through various different labels, but believe their new music is a perfect representation of the ethos and message that the band want to send in 2018, and are pleased to collaborate with Marshall Records for the next stage in their exciting career.

Andy Cairns, frontman of Therapy? says this about the signing: “Therapy? are happy to announce that they’ve just signed a new record deal with the legendary Marshall Records. Having played their quality amps for years it made perfect sense to take the relationship even further and get involved with their record company. We feel that this will be a perfect home for our unique style of rock music and look forward to all the challenges and great music that lie ahead.”
