Rumours on PANTERA, and the new video clip "Piss"

It's just me or the rumours about PANTERA spread by everyday on a crazy pace? Sure it's not a case. 2012 is not an average year for music fans. Why? Well, there are definitely plenty of good reasons to back-up my statement that I'm not gonna list here, but for those who have been asleep over the past 9 months I wanna remind one event that relates to this piece. This year sees the four-some, from Dallas, TX, celebrating 20 years since the release of that groundbreaking metal milestone that is "Vulgar Display Of Power" -band's follow-up to 91's "Cowboy From Hell" that solidified their partnership with producer Terry Date who much contributed forging the sound the Texans are known for. Vulgar is killer album that, like the jab smashing a jaw in the discussed cover-artwork, levelled what was considered metal up to the end of 80's to rise the bar to a new level of grooveness and heaviness. This record hasn't been so influential only to metal music to come in the new millenium but also to metallic hardcore that the likes of Earth Crisis (remember their "Destroy The Machines" dated '95 and the Victory sound era?)
and tons of other HC bands, soon to be labeled metalcore,  unleashed upon the scene playing a blend of muscular, heavy, groovy and aggressive overtones.
And getting back on the rumours subject, I'm sure many of you risked half a heartstroke when they got to see the fake 2013's Sonicsphere festival flyer that lists a reunited Pantera featuring Zakk Wilde on guitar on Sunday's bill. In my view, though Zakk is definitely one of the current guitar players that would have really good chances not to fail hard while trying to fit in the huge shoes of Dimebag, can you ever imagine Pantera without him? I personally can't...The band line-up of the 90's featuring Dime on guitar and completed by his brother Vinnie on drums, Phil Anselmo on vocals and Rex Brown on bass went through its high and low but it is widely reconignised as the one and only Pantera so, I really cannot picture these guys up on stage missing one of their brothers in arms -definitely not under the monicker Pantera.
To make things a bit foggier Mr.Phil Anselmo recently released some statements that hold the usual neutral ground "wishful thinking...my door is always open. I love those guys..." but, let's add, perhaps its' no gonna happen anytime soon.
However, last April (hehe...it was a while I wanted to write this piece...) it has started circulating this video clip of a track from Pantera entitled "Piss". This song is an outtake off "Vulgar Display Of Power" recording sessions. The video was directed by Zach Merck and includes footage of Pantera fans rocking out & moshing to their favorite Pantera song as well as a bunch of lucky fans that got the chance to take part in the video shooting in South California last March.
So, if you haven't watched it yet, check this out! This is true shit in a sea of rumours.
