Haven is comprised of footage from their recent first European tour, which saw the quintet visit the mainland and UK with Scotland’s Yeah Detroit.
Bassist Lukas discusses the tracks thematic origin, stating that “The song is about doing more for others than for yourself. Sometimes you feel that you can't go on anymore and start feeling weak. We're all just looking for a place to rest our bones and that's why we decided to call it Haven.”
Lifting their moniker from the tea that vocalist Malte ‘Pedro’ Unnasch would devour whilst tracking vocals on the band’s debut EP (‘Ready To Leave’), Earl Grey‘s newly released work ‘Passing Time’, is their second EP of the year. Concerning their eagerness to keep up the momentum, the band comment that “There was just 6 months in between recording the two releases, so whilst we obviously didn't reinvent the wheel with this one, we do all think that this EP is a big step forward. The songs deliver more passion, honesty and energy, and that's exactly what we were looking for; I think that we finally found our sound we want to represent the band.”
