"Ultraviolet" is the title of new album from KYLESA

Savannah-based quintet KYLESA have announced the title and release date of their forthcoming album. One of the most anticipated hard rock releases of 2013 and the follow-up to their critically-acclaimed album ‘Spiral Shadow’, 'Ultraviolet' will hit the stores on 24th (May 28th in North America).

“Whereas ‘Spiral Shadow’ was a warm album suggesting concepts of hope, ‘Ultraviolet’ is a bit colder and darker”, explains songwriter/guitar player Laura Pleasants.

CAPSIZE joined Anchor Aweigh rec. to release “Live A Burden, Die A Curse”

CAPSIZE is the new adding at Anchor Aweigh records. A new band which won't definitely cut a bad figure among the label's back catalogue.

LET THEM FALL debuts with "No More Silence"

LET THEM FALL, melodic hardcore combo fronted by a gal, named Rita, is out with their debut 5-track EP entitled "No More Silence.
The young fivesome is completed by Gabriele (guitar/vocals), Luigi (guitar), Stefano (drums) and Mario (bass) and hails from Grosseto, Italy.

Could starting this out mentioning that Germany's (Bad Hersfeld/Gotha based) MARISOLV born out of the ashes of metalcorers Bury My Sins but it would only be pretty reductive to say the least.
The quintet (or old fuckers as Marco says) behind this project are well into in their thirties and have been involved in the hardcore for many years being in bands, releasing records, promoting bands, setting up shows, doing paper fanzines or running webzines and supporting their local HC/Metal scene. You know, all the good things about hardcore punk and DIY; the things that kick ass to all the fashion bullshit.

XREPENTANCEX "In Violation Of Asa" on tape and free download

UK's vegan SxE combo xREPENTANCEx has recorded their first demo entitled "In Violation Of Aša" (Aša=truth, one of the meanings in the Avestan language) end of 2012. 
The 4-track demo is out on cassette tape format through Atonement records and the first limited run of 60 pieces went sold out in the blink of an eye but the band announced a second run (that is already gone according to an interview posted at Stuck In The Past zine).
Pat (guitar) commented in the interview: Man, we are all taken back by how fast they went.

TERROR new album out in Europe via Century Media

While reporting the announcement about TERROR signing with Victory records it was not clear who was gonna take care of the European release of "Living By The Code" the full-length follow-up to 2010's "Keeper Of The Faith".
Well, now we know. Century Media will take care of the release of L.A.HC's powerhouse new effort.

"SOUNDS OF THE STREET FOR GAZA" Vol.1 V/A punk, hardcore, folk, ska, hiphop / Benefit compilation

SOS FOR GAZA, an international project with base in Italy, just released a digital compilation featuring 122 song from HC-punk, Hip-Hop, Folk and Ska outfits for a total running time of 3 hours.
The compilation is entitled "SOUNDS OF THE STREET FOR GAZA" and aims to gather donations to be devolved the no-profit association "DIMA" which is building a new kindergarten "Vittorio Arrigoni" in Khan Younis, Gaza.
Among the hardcore punk bands who donated one of their tracks there are Payback, Grand Theft Age, Impact, Peggio Punx, Svetlanas, Raw Power,

STEP ON MEMORIES joins the Indelirium rec. roster

Indelirium records announced that they hooked up STEP ON MEMORIES from Vicenza, Italy.
The fivesome started out in 2008 to release their first effort, the EP "Lasting Values", in 2010.
"Furthest", the first full-length album is scheduled for release on March the 9th. 2013.

Step On Memories comments -finally we are happy to announce that our first full lenght album "FURTHEST" will be released on March 9th by Indelirium Records.

AYS are now part of Let It Burn/Acuity music family

Wegberg/Düsseldorf, Germany's AYS is the latest signing at Let It Burn records.
Here we go, new to the Let it Burn Records / Acuity.Music family is AYS! This band is going to release their new EP "Suburban Haze" on March 8, 2013, shortly followed by the Mazine REBELLION TOUR 4 with MADBALL,Comeback Kid, and Terror. "Suburban Haze" is by far the best material the band has recorded so far -writes the label about the signing.

INTRONAUT – Euro Tour, new album details & track video!

Post-metal prog phenomenon INTRONAUT has revealed the album artwork and track listing for their highly anticipated album, “Habitual Levitations”. Due out on March 18, 2013 (March 19th in North America), “Habitual Levitations” will be the group's fourth full-length album. The album artwork and layout was done by David D'Andrea who has worked with the band on previous releases.

STRAIGHT OPPOSITION new EP out on Indelirium records

Pescara, Italy's hardcore heavy-weights STRAIGHT OPPOSITION have recently announced that they are gonna release a new EP on Indelirium records.

The foursome just holed themeselves up at Acme recording in Roma on to record the 6 tracks that will make up "10 OZ". The new EP follows-up to "The Fury Stands Unbeaten".

RAW POWER to tour mid-west USA in April

According to the records the first Italian punk hardcore band ever to cross the Atlantic ocean to go touring the USA has been RAW POWER.

It was 1984 and that year a San Diego based label called BCT Tapes released their demo (untitled, aka Brown Studio Tape) and some of their live stuff in the Last White Christmas compilations (recorded in December 1983).

Almost 30 years later Reggio Emilia's RAW POWER are still around and have recently announced that they will be touring mid-west USA this coming April.

The tour kicks off on April the 26th in Detroit, MI to end on May the 4th in Minneapolis, MN

WOLFxDOWN forced to cancel their appearance at THIS IS MOSCOW FEST

Some bad news coming from WOLFxDOWN camp...

Bad news are coming your way. It's frustrating but we have to tell you that we are forced to cancel our performance at THIS IS MOSCOW fest. Due to Larissa's dual citizenship and visa difficulties we are not able to enter or rather to depart the country and she would be forced to stay in Russia for two to six months. It is disappointing as we were totally stoked about that trip, and we as a band as well as the promoters lost a bunch of money on that.
We will try to solve this citizenship issues and come to Russia as soon as possible! We feel sorry for everyone who wanted to see us and even more for Timofey and the promoter crew.

THE FIFTH ALLIANCE joins Demons Run Amok entertainment

SPLEEN FLIPPER unleashes the new album "THE WILL TO KILL"

You were wondering why the guys have been less on the road over the past months?
Well, the reason was SPLEEN FLIPPER has been working on the new material and recording it last summer.
They've had to face a round of line-up changes (both historical bassist Little and more recent adding the second guitarist Mario quit) but while the machine has been fixed they went on hand-down with the writing/recording of "THE WILL TO KILL", their third full-length album and awaited follow-up to 2008's "L'Alchimia Del Dolore".
The album is out on Feb. the 8th 2013 through Samoan records.

NEGAZIONE Il Giorno Del Sole CD-book review

What's the point with writing a bad review? And why do this when you haven't even been required to write the piece in the first place?
Well, I thought of this point and gave second thoughts to this as well, and I finally decided to stick with my guts and vent what I think of about a music related product I made sure to buy just upon its release and which I had really high expectations on.
Okay, I'm getting to the actual review.
Last summer I bought CD-book entitled “NEGAZIONE - Il Giorno Del Sole”. Nothing like an official biography or the fully-detailed history of this 80's Italian punk hardcore band but as clearly stated by the authors “a short story that aims to explain what Negazione has been all about over the three years span and little over between 1984 and end of winter of 1988; the years when the songs featured in “Little Dreamer” (1988), “Lo Spirito Continua (1986) and “Condannati A Morte Nel Nostro Quieto Vivere” 7” (1985)” -the  the compilation CD sold in the package includes these tunes.

COUNTDOWN Records is back on the HC map

Our old friends at COUNTDOWN records (est. in 2003 in Vicenza Italy, now based in NYC and home of Payback, Gonna Fall Hard, Olde York, Strength Approach to name but few) went on a hyatus for limited time and the good news is they're now back on the track again.
They have a new website up and will be announcing the new releases in the near future.

DARKEST HOUR are working on their new album

Nothing official yet. No title, no release date and other details about the follow-up to 2011's "The Human Romance". But things are moving and over the past days the Washington D.C. metallers DARKEST HOUR started posting some photo updates of their time in the studio trying out new gears, experementing and creating with the producer team made up by Tylor Larson (Periphery, Onward To Olympas to name a few) and Travis Orbin (former Periphery drummer and highly on demand drums teacher).
